Edinburgh’s top luxury hotel increases global reach
The Chester Residence joins the Global Distribution System
Edinburgh’s The Chester Residence, recently named second luxury hotel in the UK in the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2016, has partnered with online reservation management system Navarino Services and is now available to book on the Global Distribution System (GDS).
The Global Distribution System (GDS) is a worldwide reservation network used by travel agents to reserve hotel rooms. Navarino Services specialises in providing services for independent and small chain hotels. As well as offering the latest, cutting-edge technology, each Navarino Services customer is managed by a local account manager and support team member.
The Chester Residence, located in Edinburgh’s West End within a short distance to Princes Street and Haymarket, comprises 23 luxury townhouse apartments, and is currently undergoing a £1 million refurbishment. Each apartment benefits from the latest in-room technology which includes a 55-inch Smart TV and DVD/CD player. A selection of Blu-ray DVDs and complimentary Wi-Fi are also provided.
Owner of The Chester Residence, Graham Wood, says: “Joining the GDS will help us increase our corporate presence and build new relationships with travel agents by making us more accessible. Navarino Services is a well-established British brand who specialise in small, independent hotels, and their expertise will be a great asset to us. By putting customer service at the heart of their business, their core values also reflect those of The Chester Residence.”
Emma Peacock, head of distribution and corporate demand at Navarino Services, says: “We are really excited to build on our new relationship with The Chester Residence. Their high-quality service and fantastic reputation, as well as being the second-best luxury hotel in the UK, will strengthen our luxury offering in Edinburgh.”
