Mamma’s Pizza to teach kids how to make their Superfood Pizza on National Pizza Day
To celebrate the launch of their new Superfood Pizza, Edinburgh’s Mamma’s Pizza is launching free children’s workshops on National Pizza Day (Tuesday 9th February).
Mamma’s Pizza’s new menu features a Superfood Pizza with black pudding, pomegranate, black bean and avocado toppings, which can also be made gluten free. On National Pizza Day, Mamma’s Pizza will launch the first in a succession of free pizza-making workshops for school children. This first workshop will teach the children how to make the Superfood Pizza, as well as educating them on the healthy benefits of certain foods and demonstrating how nutritious pizza can be.
As the first pizzeria in Edinburgh to serve gluten free pizza, the team at Mamma’s Pizza strives to offer a vast range of options with over 40 toppings available.
Owner of Mamma’s Pizza, Paul Duncan, says: “With the recent news that black pudding has been named a superfood, we thought it was the perfect time to include it in one of our pizzas along with a range of other popular ‘so-called’ superfoods.
“As a parent of two young children myself, I know how important it is for children to eat a balanced diet. By getting kids involved in making their own meal we can show them they can still enjoy pizza whilst making healthy choices at the same time.”
